Portraits

Friends, Family and Pets

In portraiture, whether human or animal, my main motivation lies in rendering a subjects eyes that suddenly appear to take on a life of their own, as they gaze back at the beholder through layers of paint. For me a portrait painting reveals much more of a person or pet than a photograph can ever do, because the medium allows for more of the inner soul to be revealed.
